1. When is training offered at METI?

Training is offered daily at METI for various  courses. Check our on-line calendar for course dates or call the office at 902-539-9766 (toll free 877-800-6384)

2. What if I need training for a group?

METI continually works with employers who require training for several staff members. We are willing to listen to your training needs and work out a training schedule that will work for you and your employees.

3. Do I need an appointment to attend training?

Yes, to ensure seat availability, please call us and we will be happy to book a seat for you in our training classes.

4. When do the full time courses start?

Our courses are ongoing throughout the year. Please look at our Programs and Start Dates for more information on course start dates.

5. Does Maritime Environmental Training Institute have living accommodations?

We do not have onsite accommodations. However, we are pleased to provide students with a list of some contacts in the local area who offer rental units and room and board. We also have local hotels who you can make arrangements with for long term accommodations.

6. What options are available for financing my career training?

Funding may be available through Employment Nova Scotia, Student Loan, Student Line of Credit through your Banking Institutions and various agencies.    We can also work out a payment plan that will be mutually agreeable for you and for METI There are various organizations that offer financial assistance for full time studies. 7. Does Maritime Environmental Training Institute offer on-line training?

METI offers several courses through our Learning Management System. They are readily available, user friendly and we provide personal on-line support. Contact us for more info or visit our on-line learning page.
